The Story
This 1967 Shelby GT500 was originally sold at Galpin Ford in Los Angeles, California. The original owner, a aerospace engineer, kept meticulous records of every service and modification from day one.
The car remained in the original family until 2018 when it was acquired by a Shelby collector in Arizona. A comprehensive rotisserie restoration was undertaken by a renowned Shelby specialist shop, using NOS parts where available and correct reproduction components where necessary.
The restoration was completed in 2022, and the car has since earned multiple awards including the Shelby American Automobile Club’s Gold Medallion and Best in Class at the Scottsdale Concours.
Every nut and bolt was documented during the restoration process, and the car retains its original drivetrain, sheet metal, and VIN tag. The Marti Report confirms this as one of 2,048 GT500s produced for 1967.
